St. George’s University, 2025
Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Tori Flaherty received her bachelor’s degree in Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology from Colorado State University in 2018 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. George’s University in 2025. Prior to joining the Humane Society of Boulder Valley in 2026, she worked at a small animal shelter and low-cost veterinary clinic.

Dr. Flaherty began volunteering at shelters in 2020, where she developed a deep passion for accessible veterinary care and shelter medicine. She is also very passionate about One Health—the connection between the health of animals, people, and our ecosystems—and looks forward to supporting this mission at HSBV.

Outside of work, Tori enjoys traveling, rock climbing, hiking, skiing, and just about anything that involves the outdoors. She has two rescue cats, Gus and Alfie, and one rescue dog, Kip.
